A list of my favorite YouTube channels that I like to watch. I don’t much enjoy traditional television, so this is mostly how I spend my free time. I like listening to funny people talk while I eat, and oftentimes I like to listen to educational videos during my drives to/from work and picking my kiddo up from school.

  • this guys is just fucking hilarious to me - and he covers topics that I vibe with. I can particularly recommend his video on the

  • I think I like laughing at this guy for how funny he thinks he is 😂
• Mitten Squad
  • R.I.P. Paul 😭 A truly funny character big on self-deprecating humor who did video game challenges. I wonderful soul that I’ll truly miss getting new content from 💔

Educational Channels

• Veritasium
  • I’m sure everyone knows of Derek, and has seen one of his videos at some point or another.
• Kurzgesagt
  • HUGE respect for Kurzgesagt! I absolutely adore this channel! Not only do they create amazing animations to illustrate complex topics, they are also careful as to not spread misinformation into the world. Each video is meticulously produced with only scientist peer-reviewed information making it into each video.
• Matt KC
  • This fellow is a big of a mixed bag lol Sometimes he does truly cool things and sometimes he just fucks around with gadgets. He is big on video game preservation and is actually responsible for the Lego Island Decomp Project if anyone is old enough to remember that game 😅
• Mental Outlaw
  • Huge Linux and privacy enthusiast. Keeps up with data breaches and whatnot as well. Interesting watch.
• PBS Spacetime
  • Pure science goodness right here. Little complex for me to understand all the physics talk but I like to pretend I’m smart enough to follow along. Will blow your mind sometimes 🤯
• Two Minute Papers
  • Keeps up with the latest software tech regarding rendering, graphics, and physics systems. Truly cutting edge crazy stuff…also will blow your mind 🤯
• Fireship
  • I swear he used to teach people how to code 😵‍💫
• Sci-Show
  • General science coverage. Love you Hank Green 💗
• Nostalgianerd
  • I’m old. And I love nostalgia 🤷
• 8-Bit Guy
  • This guy loves old hardware, and he knows about it. He’s even produced his very own replica of the Commodore 64 that you can purchase and build yourself! I will do this one day!
• Tested (Adam Savage)
  • I’m not sure why but I could just listen to Adam Savage talk for hours - he sounds so wise and down to earth. Watching him work is akin to watching an artist paint on a canvas - the things he can do amaze me 🤯
